WESTOK SOLUTION
At Three New Bailey, the floor plate comprises a clear span 15m x 9m grid, with Westoks, cambered at no cost, providing the clear span steelwork for both the secondary and primary beams.
The Westoks contain 450 mm dia cells to permit the passage of services. As the beam boasts a full string of service cells along the full length of the beam, service integration is future proofed and allows for late modifications or future overhaul of the MEP strategy.
FROM "CONCEPT TO COMPLETION"
Westok were involved from early scheme stage working with Cundall on the concept design, through to the issue of tender drawings. Over this period there were several iterations of web opening arrangements to balance beam weight with M&E requirements.
Following the successful appointment of the D+B frame subcontractor, Westok worked very closely with Evadx’s team to finalise the design and details, and provided processed Westok beams for Evadx to complete the final fabrication, painting and erection.
