FREE TECHNICAL ADVISORY SERVICE
We have provided a free, regionally based Technical Advisory Service to industry since the early 1990s. No other UK or Irish specialist steelwork fabricator offers an Advisory Service on the scale offered by us.
Employing a team of experienced and talented structural engineers with in-depth technical knowledge, our engineers have a varied background in engineering consultancy, steelwork fabrication and structural engineering software development. Between them they have worked on projects ranging from straightforward schemes with one or two Westok beams, to prestigious and award-winning developments.
OUR ADVISORY ENGINEERS
Our Advisory Engineers are Chartered Engineers with Institutions such as the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Institution of Civil Engineers, and the Institution of Engineers of Ireland. They are active across the regions of the Institutions and the British Constructional Steelwork Association (BCSA), and also work on the Project Team currently developing new Eurocode rules for cellular beams.

OUR PROCESS
At the early stages of the design process, our engineers provide scheme design options and calculations for the review of the design and cost management teams.
Our engineers call upon many years’ experience in the design and erection of steel framed buildings to advise on the best way forward.
We provide different design options based on a variety of floor and roof constructions, grid layouts and beam depth limits. Our engineers also undertake detailed design and Value Engineering services for engineers, steelwork fabricators and main contractors, to ensure the most economical solution is implemented.
We provide design calculations for approval of the engineer and design team, they can attend consultants’ offices and design team meetings as necessary.
